On May 8, the Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF) hosted a meeting between palliative care experts and officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs.

The meeting participants considered the current state of affairs as well as questions relating to the liberalization of legal turnover of pain relievers and making amendments to the respective normative acts.

During the debate the ministry officials expressed their readiness to adopt two new summary documents regulating palliative care and pain management by opioids and support amendments to the normative acts.
