Human Rights

The main priorities of the Human Rights Program for this year are as follows:

 

  • Detecting, recording, and documenting large-scale violations of civil and political rights and cases of abuse of power;

  • Capacity building of the non-governmental sector and new activist groups in the direction of strategic litigation, corruption detection, and whistleblower support;

  • Strengthening the legal aid network supported by the program in order to provide civil activists and human rights defenders with appropriate legal services both in national courts and at the regional and international levels.

  • Support the Equality Coalition in strengthening anti-discrimination mechanisms so that the discriminated groups receive adequate legal assistance as well as towards Identifying system shortcomings and developing means of their elimination.

The Human Rights Program considers both the facilitated and the open-door applications in accordance with program priorities.
