On July 31, Open Society Georgian Foundation and Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association organizes a meeting of the representatives of civil society and journalists with two candidates for the position of Public Defender.
The meeting held in Metechi Palace aimed at introducing visions of candidates regarding the role of the institution of Public Defender, candidates’ programs and chief objectives that will be the focus of their activities after appointment.
Giorgi Tughushi and Dimitri Lortkipanidze answered the questions posed by about 50 experts, representatives of NGOs and journalists, shared their point of views on raised issues and expressed their readiness for cooperation with NGOs in case of appointment.
