Report presentation – Flaws identified in terms of monitoring “The State Healthcare program for the population below the poverty line”

On the 14th of December, 2007, at 12 p.m. in Court Yard Marriott was organized the presentation on the report of monitoring “The State Healthcare Program for the population below the poverty line” implemented by OSGF program “The Rule of Law and Public Administration”.

The report includes analysis of implementation of “The State Healthcare Program for the population below the poverty line” in 2006 and the results of 10 months”

The Government of Georgia chose the strategy for reducing poverty in the country which implies financing basic healthcare package for the population below the poverty line.

For this purpose was elaborated the special state healthcare program for the population below the poverty line. The program target group includes about 700,000 people and it shall promote improvement of health and reduction of poverty of economically underprivileged population.

The report reviews the efficiency of state healthcare program of the population below the poverty line” from the point of poverty reduction.
