Workshop on “Budget Advocacy planning”

Starting from 3rd July to 6th July 2007 Open Society Georgia Foundation organized a Workshop on “Budget Advocacy planning”. The purpose of the planning workshop was to develop a budget advocacy plan based on the budget research co-ordinated by the OSFG.  The workshop was facilitated by Shaamela Cassiem from the “International Budget Project” (IBP).  The workshop was attended by a maximum of ten persons from civil society.  The group comprised of key stakeholders from civil society who are currently researching or advocating on the budget issues. 
The workshop was practical and demanded a high quality of group work in all of the sessions, in which the design of the budget advocacy plan was unfolded.
The workshop was culminated in groups for making mock presentations to an identified key target audiences, such as public officials, journalists and a parliamentary committee.
